With the start of Europe’s largest videogame exhibition last week – the “gamescom” in Cologne, Germany – redspotgames and Z-Software have released their latest game “Solar Struggle” for Xbox LIVE Indie Games for only 400 Microsoft Points.

Additionally the title has also been promoted at redspotgames’ stand in hall 8, booth A-012 at the gamescom and attracted interest from both gamers and press. The 3D Arcade Action Shooter offers an exciting story mode and superb graphics. It’s maybe the most extensive title on Xbox LIVE Indie Games so far!

To promote the launch, both companies released brand new in-game scenes and the full intro on their respective YouTube pages today. The English intro features the voice of actor and voice talent David Michael Williamson, notable for his role as “Death” in “Over My Dead Body” and voice in “Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype”.

Within the next weeks, redspotgames and Z-Software will release further in-game and tutorial videos to get the player involved in the world of “Solar Struggle”.

It’s Tuesday and after an extensive disassembly of our booth and a 6 and a half hour drive back home we’re tired, exhausted, yet happy. The gamescom 2010 has been a full success and we could interested a bunch of gamers for our latest titles. We’ve also found some videos on YouTube from visitors of our booth, showing the “Stern Fucking Zeit” gig, which we would like to share with you. Noise or art? You decide! Have fun!

We’ve prepared some video impressions from the gamescom 2010 for all who can not participate at this fair or all who are still unsure if they should visit it. You’ll find the build up day and pressday so far. More videos will follow soon.

Überraschend viele Pressevertreter unterwegs. Machten Interviews mit einem Kölner Radiosender und dazu kam Benzai vorbei! Haben uns ein paar Rush Rush Rally Racing und Wind and Water unterschreiben lassen, welche wir demnächst verlosen werden.

Nachbarstände von Nintendo und Microsoft sind cool. Coole Leute bei Microsoft aus UK, mit denen wir uns über die neuesten Indie Games unterhalten haben und wir auch technische Hilfe bekommen haben. Cheers Mates! Viel Stress, aber war die Mühe wert.

Der Münchner Publisher redspotgames gibt heute bekannt, auf der gamescom 2010 – wie schon im Jahr 2008 auf der Games Convention in Leipzig – einen sogenannten “Messebabe Support” anzubieten.

Worum es sich dabei handelt?

Messebabes sind gestresste Menschen – müssen sie doch den ganzen Tag auf den Beinen sein, sich in enge Kleidung zwängen, tausende Fotos mit Besuchern mitmachen, bekommen zum Teil keine Getränke gestellt… da würde es ganz gut tun, ihnen ein bisschen mehr Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken.

Genau dies hat redspotgames vor! Bei uns bekommen gestresste Messebabes nicht nur Fuß- und Rückenmassagen eines talentierten Mitarbeiters, Heftpflaster für Verletzungen, sowie auflockernde Gespräche, sondern auch gekühlten Sekt – gratis! Mehrere Kilogramm Heftpflaster und 120 Flaschen Sekt wurden für diesen Anlass bereits gekauft.

Schon 2008 erregte diese Aktion Aufsehen und wurde beispielsweise von den “MMO Cluster” mit einem Videobeitrag gewürdigt.

Auch für Besucher dürfte diese Aktion interessant sein, die mehrere Messebabes verschiedener Aussteller auf einen Fleck sehen wollen.

Neben House, Gabba und Hardcore – mixed by penance – wird am Samstag (21. August) und Sonntag (22. August) die Chiptune- / Nintendocore-Band “Stern Fucking Zeit” aus Mainz live auf dem redspotgames-Stand auftreten.

Mit GameBoys aufgewachsen, den Chiptunes verbunden – doch erst ein ausgefallenes Punk-Konzert führte Stern Fucking Zeit als Band zusammen, um Nintendocore selbst zu machen. Mit GameBoys bewaffnet ermöglichte ihre Musik die erste “Wall of Death” der Chiptune-Szene! Erstmals auf der gamescom und dazu mit nagelneuen Screamo-Songs!

Die Band wird drei Mal pro Tag auftreten. Genaue Spielzeiten werden vor Ort verbreitet.

Spielerisch wird “Solar Struggle” präsentiert – der umfangreiche 3D Arcade Action Shooter für Xbox Live Indie Games – sowie ein noch geheimes Projekt, welches jedoch nichts mit der Xbox-360-Plattform oder einer Portierung des neuesten redspotgames-Titels zu tun hat.

“Solar Struggle” gilt als die aufwendigste Produktion im Channel der Xbox Live Indie Games und wird dort bereits innerhalb dieser Woche für 400 Microsoft Points verfügbar sein.
